Designing a logo that is memorable, original and creative is a tough task. Take away fancy colours, gradients and icons and it gets even tougher. A monochrome logo is forced to rely on the shapes, lines and space to convey it’s message which is a real art in itself.
We’ve been searching for examples of logos that work fantastically well with just a single colour. Despite the apparent initial simplicity of their designs you soon realise what skill it has taken to create something that works so well without complex colours and details.
Take a look at these fantastic single colour logos featured on www.logomoose.com below:

Awesome showcase!
I think the Fido one and the Families one are the two most clever.

Gives me a lot of inspiration.
Hi,

Thanks for featuring my logo…
Consider to credit designers with link to their websites, not just logo galleries.
That’s a great collection. There are so many of the logos that are really creative but I think that Shout, Bioground and Gula with the cute Kuala bear are the best
excellent collection!
Killer Logos! I love the Lad-yy and Foot. Thanks for sharing
Really awesome stuff. Very Inspirational.
I love logos that read the same upside down as they do right side up. The Edge logo is fantastic.
Ant, families, fido, the guilde of food writers, kingfish, foot, sleep records are my favorities. But the best one logo is families because it is clever, humor, simple and memorable.
Great collection!
Ah, CodeFish is such a great idea
some of the best logos in the world are single colours, microsoft for example!
They are some real nice logos, I have always thought that a simple logo is always better and much easier to recognise from a distance.
I do think code fish is a great idea.
Cool set of logos thanks for the post
Simple Designs are always the best! KISS! – Keep it simple stupid.
Thanks for sharing such a nice collection.
some fantastic designs there very very inspiring
Love it. I’ve always admired logos that are simple but perfectly fulfil there purpose. I think any logo that can make you smile is always a good thing. Some of my favourites include the Codefish, Uptown Pens and the families logos as each of them in there own way has great wit and character about them. Some you could argue verge on Op Art with clever use of negative space etc. Overall a great collection of clever yet simple ideas that are sure to inspire.
Great logo’s.
David.
I really like this logos collection. Nice work!

love seeing great logos like these.
At first I thought, how can a bunch of logos be inspirational. . .but this was spot on. I am inspired to go design. So many times a company wants a single color for branding, and from a printing perspective, it can save alot of money vs. full color. Awesome logos!

Awesome. i always wonder how they create some really simple but great figures by just playing with the characters. great collection of logos.
Awesome Collection. Thanks for sharing…

Like the families one, so simple but yet so effective. Nice inspiration to feed the mind!
When designing a website with the client wanting to have a logo I do sometimes come a little unstuck so this post is the perfect thing to give me some inspiration. I really like all of the logos and although really simple they work so well. I will next be looking at Stefan Kanchev, thanks for the this post.

A business logo is a visual representation of our business and also important aspect of our business brand. Logo will stand for our business, which will suggest a positive message about our business. You have introduced really great character logos. It is good collection of simple and attractive logos.
The Godiva Books logo is outstanding.. along with the pen nib and spoon logo. Amazing
hello .. very great designs really good work
catch 5 is so good keep it up
These are great – sometimes the best things are so simple!
All very cool, the –H30 Creative– stood out for me because of the splash effect on the zero, for me this made it seem like observing something happening instead of just a flat design.
Some good inspiration for single colour logo’s might be found in old world symbols from various countries.
