Being your own boss – definitely with you on that one! About the point on finding work, I think getting referrals from existing customers helps. Marketing takes up a lot of time imo.

Hello, Jan…

It’s interesting to know that I have quite similar experience to yours in freelancing as a web and graphic designer. It was a good time to know that I had to decide jump into next stage of my life. Suddenly I realized how COLORFUL my days ahead, having my own agency, being a boss, and most of all, days off anytime!

But, when every time I encouraged my friends to do so, they shouted protest back againts me. After then, I knew it’s not something applicable for everyone. Hahahaa!

I agree with your bit about ideal clients! Clients who try and get creative after hiring me really frustrates me. Makes me want to say do it yourself!
